"Oh Sebastian. I wish I could just find the one," exclaimed Ariel as she brushed the knots out of her fiery red mullet. "I want someone to watch 'The L Word' and hold during a thunderstorm. Is that too much?" "Of course not honey," replied Sebastian. "Everyone deserves love. You'll find yours. Hell, you might find her tonight at the party." "One can only hope. You ready to go?" asked Ariel. "Yeah. Let me just finish my eyeliner," replied Sebastian as he stroked the stick of gold eyeliner across the top of his eye. "You like?" "I love! You're such a fab crab. Now lets get going. It's drag night at the Sunken Ship Lounge!" and with that, they were off.
Ariel swam out of the sparkling castle with Sebastian on her back. They swam over all of the colorful sea urchins that cover the sea floor and came upon a giant sunken ship. It was covered in ribbons and banners of all colors. A giant sparkling sign that had the name of the club was hung under the faded paint of the name of the ship. If you looked closely you could vaguely make out the word 'Titanic'.
As they entered the exotic club they were bombarded with music and pearls of laughter. The drag show has just begun! Over the course of an hour they were exposed to everything from an octopus in pink pumps to an electric eel with a boa all while slamming shots of vodka. They had just watched a sexy lobster in a dark blue gown perform Lady Gaga's, 'Born this Way' when an adorable little fish swam onto the stage. As the host introduced the new performer, Ariel got a good look at her. She couldn't help but think she knew who that was. She had to look deep through the pancake makeup, the bright red eyelashes, and the strapless dress. Then it occurred to her; that was Flounder! The drag queen with the long flowing blonde wig was her little flamboyant gay fish, Flounder!
She elbowed Sebastian who was chatting up the lobster drag queen. "Sebastian! Sebastian! Quit tonguing Madame La Riz and look!" "Oh what now?! I was bout to get lucky!" "That drag queen! Its Flounder!" exclaimed Ariel. "Damn! He's hot!" "Why didn't he tell us? I thought we were his best friend?" "I don't know but lets go find out," replied Sebastian as he pushed the Lobster off of his lap and rose from his seat. "Lets go to the dressing rooms."
As they made their way past the drag queens and deeper into the ship, Ariel couldn't help but wrinkle her nose at the smells of all the perfumes from the drag queens. At the back of the room, who was just peeling off his wig was, Flounder. Ariel rushed up to him and yelled, "Why didn't you tell us you were a drag queen?" Flounder was so surprised by her that he gave a yelp and dropped all the bobby pins in his hand. He spun around and exclaimed "What are you doing here!? Oh god. Please don't tell your father. If he knew I might as well go flop on a dry beach!" "We came to see the show of course!" "We?" asked Flounder quizzically. Ariel spun around searching for Sebastian. She spotted him in the corner with the Lobster again. "Sebastian was with me but he seems a little busy with your friend over there" answered Ariel with an annoyed tone. "And don't worry. I wouldn't tell Daddy." "Oh thank you so much Ariel. So what did you think of the show?" "It was amazing! You were shining bright out there girl!" "Thanks honey! So.... Did you see anyone out there that caught your eye?" "Well I did see that mermaid bartender out there. I think her name is Erica. She's been giving me the eyes all night!" replied Ariel as red spread over her cheeks. "Go ask her out! You need to go have some fun!" exclaimed Flounder as he threw a boa around her neck and pushed her towards the bar.
Ariel stumbled and almost decked herself on the bar counter but caught herself right as Erica turned to her. "And what can I do for you?" asked Erica. "Well I was wondering if maybe you'd like to head out someplace" replied Ariel in a seductive tone. "I thought you'd never ask." With that they swam out, hand in hand, into the night.
